SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Scholarship enrollment dates are the entire month of:     TBD


Eligible candidates are participating NON-High School youth or High School youth, ages 14 - 19,  who have successfully completed the Youth Program and who have expressed interest, competence and readiness for scholarship opportunities through the organizational standard protocol for Program Incentive Opportunities. 


Scholarship opportunities are primarily for individuals who are:

  • a.)   Continuing education in a post-secondary college or university
  • b.)   Continuing education in a post-secondary trade school

Scholarships are disbursed in amounts of $50.00 to $1,000 per recipient, as the following:


-  Scholarship U.S. Saving Bond Recipients:  

  • a.)   Issued directly to recipient's bank "trust" account
  • b.)   Ages:  14,  15, 16 or 17  Non-High School Youths  or  9th, 10th or 11th Grade Students

-  Monetary Scholarship Check to Institution:   

  • a.)   Issued directly to institution or trade school
  • b.)   Ages: 17, 18 and 19  Non-High School Youths  or  11th and 12th  Grade Students

To whom given and in whatever form, disbursements are determined by the Executive Board.


Monetary amounts may differ from year to year due to funding received throughout the year.


Rules, eligibility and opportunities are subject to change, at any time, with or without notice.


Depending on continuity, participant may have multiple opportunities to become a recipient. 


Recipients will be announced on website, other social mediums and during the GALA Event.

 

  • ***  U.S. Saving Bonds will accumulate interest in lucrative amounts as long as it remains in bank trust account. Parent and recipient MUST pledge to let the bond mature until recipient turns 21 years of age. If bond does not remain in trust account, may incur penalties that will be deducted from awarded amount, at withdrawal.
  • ***  Scholarships will be awarded to institutions ONLY, on the behalf of recipient in the amount stated on the initial Notification of Award by which will be approved, documented and issued on an official letterhead signed by each officiating Executive Board member.
  • ***  U.S. Saving Bond Scholarships are issued in the name of the recipient to a bank account established as a trust fund on the behalf and in the name of "ONLY" the recipient. The bank "trust" account MUST be established within (60) days of initial Notification of Award Letter. Current or newly established trust account documentation and letterhead issued from banking institution MUST be submitted to Strategic Change, Inc. within (60) days of initial scholarship notification. U.S. Saving Bond will be deposited into trust account, in the amount awarded, within (60) days after proving established or current bank "trust" account. -- Banking institution will be contacted before issuing bond for verification of establishment dates, account number and name holders.
  • ***  In cases of NON-established account, inaccurate account establishment or failure to submit official banking documentation to Strategic Change, Inc.: Administrative Department within (60) days of initial scholarship announcement, the scholarship award amount will be NULL and VOID, resulting in NO U.S. Saving Bond purchase or issuance on the behalf of recipient.
  • ***  In cases that recipient commits a criminal offense or become charged with a crime within the (60) day establishment period and/or during period by which issuance is not complete .. the scholarship award amount will be NULL and VOID, resulting in NO purchase or issuance on the behalf of recipient.
  • ***  Recipients of Monetary Scholarships MUST become fully enrolled in a legitimate college, university or trade school within one (1) year of initial Notification of Award Letter. Documentation of completed enrollment MUST be submitted to Strategic Change, Inc.: Administrative Department within the one (1) year "grace" term. Monetary Scholarship Disbursement Check will be sent to the institution, in the amount awarded, for payment of tuition, books, meals or residential housing within (60) days of proving legitimate enrolled status. -- Post-secondary Institution will be contacted before issuing amounts for verification of enrollment.
  • ***  In cases of NON-enrollment in an legitimate college, university or trade school or failure to submit documentation to Strategic Change, Inc.: Administrative Department within one (1) year "grace" term, the monetary scholarship award amount will be NULL and VOID, resulting in NO payment amount paid on the behalf of recipient.
  • ***  In cases that recipient commits a criminal offense or become charged with a crime within the (1) year "grace" term and/or during period by which issuance is not complete ... the monetary scholarship award amount will be NULL and VOID, resulting in NO payment paid on behalf of recipient.

                                                                 PENALTY & DISQUALIFICATION POLICY

 

  • Every recipients scholarship amounts will be held up to  (45)  days pending investigation due to any violation occurrences with possibility of penalty and/or disqualification impositions.
  • At end of investigation, amounts will be released for disbursement. 
  • Violation of penalties will be reduced by the awarded amounts by which a contribution statement will be issued in the amounts that was deducted.    (See tax consultant for possible income tax credit)
  • Recipients who were deemed disqualified for scholarships will receive an "Explanation Notice of Scholarship Disqualification" in the place of what would have been the reward.      (No contribution statement issued)

                                                                   DISBURSEMENT MARKETING POLICY

  • By accepting the Scholarship award, recipient is agreeing to the publishing and announcement of name, photo, amount of award and the probable usage of the scholarship.
  • Information may be released in newsletters, newspapers, social mediums, website or any other distribution by which organization deems safe and necessary. 
  • The acceptance of scholarship award gives organization sole publishing, announcement and distribution rights.
  • In cases by which recipient refuse or disagree for information to be published, announced or distributed must be placed in writing in letter format and sent to the management team within  (7)  days after or following the announcement of the scholarship award.
  • Recipients who refuse or disagree to be published, announced or distributed will be disqualified from receiving a Scholarship opportunity.
